hey guys,
my cousin got an N80 and she wants to transfer all her stuff from her old phone which is a 3230. Is there any software by which i can do this easily. I tried sending the contacts by bluetooth but it turns out you can only send them one by one and not all at once. for the rest of the stuff like pictures and ringtones i can just send by bluetooth. For the contacts i thought i could copy them to the pc and then back to the new phone. Is there any easier way to do all of this?

well there is an easy way... just copy all the phone contacts on the sim card from the 3230 and then insert the sim in N80 and save the contacts in the memory... :)

Yea i know about that. But that method sucks as it creates separate contacts entries for mobile, home, work etc. Sooo is there any other way?

or use Alonbase contact manager to back up the contacts to the MMC and restore them onto the n80

nah..... n80 is a symbian based phone.....go to tools.... data transfer.... nd then send the application via BT to 3230.... after the program gets installed..then select what u wanna transfer.... if any probs reply me again...

but why download 3rd party applications..... asn80 is a symbian 3rd edition phone.... it has the facitlity to get all the contacts, calender entries and gallery files as well... we just have to transfer the application to the phone frm whch we want to have the contacts,etc.....it is available in tools, transfer..

I didnt say that i did not want to do i through pc( yea using nokia PC suite), just wanted to know if i could do it directly through the phones itself. Thanks for the link kumar but the N80 uses a mini SD so cant use the app. Will have to do it through the comp itself. Thanks for all the replies guys :D

actually u can get a mini SD convertor , usually one is shipped alongwith the phone and people throw it away thinking its the cover for the mini SD card.
