How to take screenshot in htc desire hd without rooting the phone?

i heard this feature is availlable in 2.4

at present mine is 2.1

so can some one confirm?

I remember doing this on my Inspire (US version of Desire HD)

You should consider upgrading though...ICS custom ROMs are out for Desire HD.

Its available in the latest update (2.3.5 and Sense 3.0). All you gotta do is long press the power key and then hit the home button. Your screenshot is saved in gallery.

i think there was an app called shoot me that allowed u to take screen shots by shaking the phone, donno if its still there and whether shaking the phone would work for you if you are gaming
