Hey everyone,

I'm looking to buy a used NVIDIA RTX 3090, but I want to make sure I’m getting a reliable card that’s been properly tested. For those of you who’ve bought or sold used GPUs, what’s the best testing methodology to verify an RTX 3090 is in good condition? Specifically:

  • What stress tests or benchmarks do you recommend to check for stability, thermals, and performance? (e.g., FurMark, 3DMark, or others?)
  • How do you confirm the card hasn’t been heavily overclocked or mined on? Are there telltale signs like degraded VRAM or unusual fan noise?
  • Any specific tools to check the card’s health, like GPU-Z, for monitoring clock speeds, temps, or memory errors?
Also, what’s a reasonable price range for a used RTX 3090 in 2025? I know prices can vary based on condition, region, and whether it’s been used for gaming, mining, or professional workloads, so any insights on current market trends would be awesome.

Thanks in advance for your advice! Looking forward to hearing your experiences.
