How to turn of WiFi off?

I have MTNL connection and WiFi.I own only desktop so I want to know is there any way I can turn off wifi or restrict it.

Enter modem advanced settings. For that you have to you have to go to http://192.168.1.1/ and enter the username & password (Mostly admin/admin). There you will find a option to disable WiFi.
