How to turn off the beeps in APC 650VA UPS in OS X. It irritates me during night by beeping continuously when there is a slight fluctuation in the power supply. In windows power chute software we have an option to turn on the beeps. But i dont find any such options in os x after installing power chute app. Is there any way to turn off the beeps?????
 
Try contacting APC customer service ... else take the UPS to someone with a windows PC and then disable the beeps :P

I have windows installed in boot camp. But it dosent disable beep permanently.

It seems like this is the only option left. Sometimes during night i feel like breaking my UPS into pieces for the noise it makes.
 
For me also, only once did i disable the beeps and i have never ever heard it inspite of numerous OS changes and formats :P

I think u would be doing something wrong. Try that out again, just in case. :)

Yep i did something wrong. Its working now. Thankyou.
No more beeps. Sleeping in now :)
