how to unlock lg viewty

my friend has an lg viewty..i dont know the exact model number..but its the one with the 5mp camera...if that helps..
Its locked to some australian provider
is it possible to unlock this phone without paying..like some lil program or a way to type in a code to unlock the way Sony Ericsson
idk..
need some input here from u pro's

You can always ask your network or carrier to see if they would provide you with an unlcok code for your mobile.

An alternative way to Unlock the following phones is available.

U990/ku990/ku380/cu400/cu405/cu500/cu500v/cu320/tu 500/tu550

The main software required can be found here

DOWNLOAD MAIN SOFTWARE FROM HERE:
YouShare - Free File Hosting V1.5
DOWNLOAD LGUSB MODEM DRIVER FROM HERE:

The instructions are as follows.

1. Unzip all the files to one folder
2. Install the LG drivers
3. Open the MTTY program
4. Choose the COM port which as in Device Manager detected the LG phone.
5. Run Windows enabler and put it on in task bar
6. After in MTTY software all windows will be enabled and you can bacup NV
7. Type "AT5SWV" when the window opens and press enter.
8. Type "AT5IDDE" and press enter. If you get IDDE OK then that measn yuo have successfully uncloked your phone.
9. Don't power off phone, use LGMDP to restore NV

Looks like you are in the same boat. I have a ATT locked phone lying around for 2 months. Unsuccessful in my attempts to unlock it.

Try EBay, you might get lucky.

i think is not free..u can buy log for unlocking ur lg viewty, since many remote unlocking server are there u solve ur purpose..

THIS SOLUTION WONT WORK ON KU580 SEMC A2 PLATFORM, KS20, KU730, KU950 AND PROBABLY KU250 AS WELL.
U MAY CORRUPT UR IMEI BY THIS ABOVE METHODS:tongue:
