My cousin has her nutrition related site, but since last few weeks its bombed with lot of traffic (appears like AI bot)
Can she use Free Cloudfare services for blocking those bots ?
She writes lot of articles on blog related to Diet (she is a dietician)

Her freelance developer said its doable on nameserver side.. (domain registrar)
If anyone sure, what and how to do ?

Your cousin doesn't need to register the domain with cloudflare; she can use their dns service without doing so. With that said, registering the domain with cloudflare has the benefit of being extremely cheap and seamless (as long as your payment method works well with their gateway) as they do it at cost. The drawback of registering your domain and dns with cloudflare is that it's a single point of failure. There are accounts of some people using cloudflare as their dns and registrar for contentious websites (illegal services, medical advice, etc.) whose websites got unexpectedly shut down by cloudflare.

When onboarding with cloudflare, they usually just guide you through setting your website up with their dns. This page should have all you need; in my experience cloudflare even pulls your existing records off your current nameserver.
Be prepared for a slight amount of downtime since you might need a few minutes to configure things correctly, but it should be pretty simple otherwise.

To set up Cloudflare, you need to update your domain’s nameservers to Cloudflare’s in your domain provider’s portal. This change may take some time to propagate due to DNS expiration times, but it won’t impact your operations.

Once Cloudflare is configured, you can create rules to block traffic from specific countries and set up CAPTCHA challenges for suspicious users to filter out bots.

If you're experiencing spam in comments or form submissions, consider integrating a spam-blocking service or adding CAPTCHA to reduce unwanted entries.

What are cloudfare nameservers to edit on domain register?
At present name server are pointing to hosting.
If changing to cloud fare nsmeserver how will site work, as all data is on hosting provider?

When you add your site to Cloudflare, it automatically scans and copies your existing DNS records (A, CNAME, MX, TXT, etc.). This is possible because DNS records are public.

Once this is done, Cloudflare will provide you with new nameservers (e.g., cody.cloudflare.com and nora.cloudflare.com). To activate Cloudflare, you must update your domain’s nameservers at your domain registrar.

Until you update these nameservers, your domain will still resolve using your old nameservers (from your hosting provider or previous DNS provider). After updating, it can take some time (usually a few minutes to 48 hours) for the changes to fully propagate across the internet.

Now, when users visit your website, their browsers will query Cloudflare’s nameservers, and Cloudflare will provide the necessary DNS records to route traffic. Since Cloudflare copied your DNS settings, your website will continue working without downtime.

Regarding your hosting provider, Cloudflare does not replace your hosting. It simply directs traffic based on your DNS settings. Your hosting provider’s A records (pointing to an IP address) and CNAME records remain the same unless you manually change them.

Even after setting Cloudfare DNS in Win11 & Android, 1337x & yts.am isn't opening and saying SSL handshake failed , Host error code 525. What to do?
You dont need to change DNS in your Win & Android, 1337 and yts may be blocked on cloudflare. You only need to update the nameserver for your domain and rest cloudflare services will take care.
