How to use HDFC Gift Plus for Online transaction (Flipkart/ eBay) ?

Hi Guys

I have HDFC Gift Coupons worth 5k.

I have tried to use them for online shopping through Flipkart and eBay. But it never works.

Does anyone know for if it even works for online transaction, and if yes how do I do that?
If no, then can I transfer the amount to account through netbanking.
 
AKAIK HDFC Gift Plus cards are not working for online purchase.

You have to use them offline only, restaurants is the best place.
 
The HDFC Bank Giftplus card works just like a Debit Card for purchase transactions at Merchants' Establishments that have an electronic terminal. The only difference is that the transaction amount is directly debited from your HDFC Bank Giftplus card balance. However, unlike a Debit card, this card does not allow cash withdrawal at ATMs.

Are there any transactions for which this Card cannot be used?
Yes, the card cannot be used to withdraw cash. It has only POS usage.

saw these in the Faq's in the link you gave.
 
AFAIK, you cannot use gift cards for online transactions. I too got a lot of money in the form of gift cards from my company, bulk of which I spent in filling fuel :p
