hi all,
hows this config and wat will it cost in mumbai :hap2:

Intel P4 630HT 3.0 Ghz
ASUS P5LD2 - mainboard - ATX - 945P

Graphics Card - ATI RADEON 9550 256 MB
or XFX GeForce 6200 256 MB DDR AGP --- not sure of these 2 cards if there not available here which one should i opt for ?

512Mb (256x2) Corsair 400Mhz DDR2 memory
120Gb (ST3120827AS) Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 SATA NCQ SATA HDD

Dvd Writer - Sony
17" Lcd Monitor supporting 1280x1024 res Viewsonic (i dont remb model no)
(below 15K most prob)

KBD + Optical scroll mouse - Logitech

any good case+psu of 400W - u ppl recommend

will the above fit in my budget of 35-40K?
 
You are in Mumbai.... so getting the BenQ 1640 should not be a problem.... Get that instead of the Sony DVD Writer
 
You will need a PCI Express card to go with that motherboard. You can get a BIG/XFX nVidia 6200 card. And going for DDR400 ram would save you some cash probably.
 
You cant put an AGP Card onto that Motherboard.

Its PCI-E only.

You can get a 6200.

Also, what are you gonna use this for?

graphics work - photoshop, flash, director, some video editing, and sound editing

hows the LeadTek Graphic 6200 TC 256MB PCI-E CARD W/TV & DUAL DISPLAY ? its selling on ebay for 3500/-

Well i can give you one brand new leadtek Winfast PX6200TC gfx card for Rs. 2200 + shipping.
it has 16mb onboard and supports 128 mb "shared" memory, W/TV out & DUAL DISPLAY.
 
Why don't you get an A64 based config ?

AFAIK only DDR2 memory will work with that board and you'll need a PCIe card.

i'm trying to make a p4 based config comparable to a64 3500. the 630 is the best competitor for a64 3500+.

also i know now that in my above budget a lcd will never fit in. the p4 mobo is itself around 14k.
or do anyone know any entry level mobo < 6k with onboard graphics support:huh:
 
i dunno y spending 14k on a mobo is total bogus get asus a8n sli premium instead and get amd 3200+ venice get a 6600 gt u'll have faaaaaaaaar better performance
