buddy for this kind off money.. i think he can surely get better deals than refurbished ones.. an plus its a core duo.. although its pretty close 2 a c2d but id still suggest u 2 wait a bit an select the c2d.. also as hes buyin in the us.. i would suggest u 2 wait till november 23rd.. the black friday an trust me then he could get mind blowing deals then.. he could prob get a similar c2d notebook wit 16ogb an a better gfx card at the same time..
P.s: as an indicator for the kind off deals available on black friday.. walmart has already started sellin toshiba hd dvd players for $100 (yeah 4k inr) an u also get 5 hd dvds free..
