PC Peripherals How's this PSU?

500W is 5500+tax in bangalore. Very good PSU.

yeah chaos thanks.. btw CM guys said they felt these were better than antec's etc. and they intend to start showing off their products as well.... you know they've been pretty quiet in India. But they promise big things for the near future - lots of new products. So the 600W should be 1K more I assume?? ;)

It can take 456W on the 12V rails. So why not a Antec TP Trio 550 which can take 504W on 12V rails. prices should be almost similar. 456W is more like the specifications of Neo HE 500. If the price is more than 6k, then NeoHE 500 would be a better deal I guess.

hmmm. dammit I hate decisions. Main reason for swapping out the 550W TP is I don't like the open cables. Want something modular or sleeved cables will also do the trick. :D

Are the antec trio sleeved too? Also whats the price diffi between a TP trio 600 and a neo 500??

NeoHE is Modular as well as it has sleeved cables. Not sure about the TP Trio though. There is no TP Trio 600, only TP Trio 650 which can take 624W on the 12V rails. Its priced at 9.2k in India.

But if you are looking something similar to the CM 600W you talked about, then Neo HE 500 can take 456W on 12V and is priced at around 6k. Trio TP 550W is rated at 504W on 12V and priced at 7.4k. If TP Trio is sleeved, then nothing better than that at its price point.

Edit: TP Trio is neither modular nor sleeved. only Neo HE is both. Neo HE 550 sells for 8.2k and its both modular as well as sleeved. If you are ok with the specification of 456W, then NeoHE 500 would be your best bet.

In my opinion, cooler master 600 may be only a little better than Antec NeoHE 500. Both have 456 watts on 12Va. Neo has 456watts continous, don't know of CM.
Neo gives 456A @ 50C, does the CM give that at 25C or 50C?

Also, you can consider Antec NeoHE 550 which would probably give even more wattagage.

The main advantage I find of CM over Neo is the 19+19.5+19.5 in case a single component needs as much. But if you really see it that way my NeoHE 500 did once/twice give 19.1A to my GPU(ATi tool) when required.

TPII and Trio both have their amperage @ 25C while Neo has at 50C. That is again a plus. Also, Seasonic makes Neo whereas I think CTW makes TP, so seasonic is surely better with even 500.
