Laptops HP Compaq Battery gone mad .... need help

hello , i have a Compaq CQ40 133TU notebook and it came with default HP charger . but this problem started few days earlier that the Charger Isn't Charging at all !!!! .

I Plug it to wall outlet
Connect the Pin to Lappy
No Charging of Battery .

I was totally socked at this .:huh:

please tell me where can i avail replacement or where can i find compaq service center . :hap5:

i think problem is with your lappy's battery not with charger.... do check your charger with any other lappy before taking it to service center.....

fyi...download this , install and check HP Battery Check - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

edit : all HP laptop users can use this tool.

similar problem here.
just a few months old lappy and it suddenly stops charging. try after sometime and it works.
not sure how long will this bloody problem last.
