HP has launched Slatebook x2, a convertible tablet / notebook running Android in India.



The HP Slatebook X2 packs latest Nvidia Tegra 4 chipset with quad-core 1.8GHz processor with 2GB of RAM. It has 10.1 inch full HD 1080p display ( 1920x1200 pixels resolution ). It runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS.

The tablet can be converted into a notebook by using the bundled keyboard dock. The keyboard is 91% in size with island style keys and has multi touch gesture touchpad. The additional ports and battery are included in keyboard dock.

It has 1080p rear camera and 720p front facing camera with microphone. It has 64GB SSD storage with SD card slot, HDMI port and USB 2.0 port. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth.

The HP Slatebook X2 is priced at Rs 39,990 and will be available starting August 2013.
 
Wasn't the original Asus Transformer launched with the keyboard dock for around 32K or less? Two years later this is essentially the same thing with upgraded hardware.
 
The price is okay. A top spec tablet with a matching keyboard isn't a bad deal @ 40k especially considering how expensive the Tablet Z and the old Note 10.1 is.

The original Transformer was 35k afaik and the slightly newer Transformer Prime 3G was 50k.
