HP Touchpad - usage few months down the line

Hi guys,

I received a HP Touchpad 32 GB box packed today for 156 $ and I am confused if I should open it or sell it in the box (I will be selling it in US only)
Now I will be coming back to India in Jan, 2012 and want to carry a good tablet when I come back and HP touchpad has really confused me.

So I need help from the HP touchpad owners about performance.

1.) I hate that a new tab in the broswer always opens up as a new card, so it doesnt give me the firefox/chrome/Dolphin broswer kind of look at my tabs.
Any alternative browsers that work good, I found one in HP App catalog but the reviews were not good.

2.) Flash support - like Adobe Flash 11 is being released for desktops and android today, but there's no mention of WebOS.

3.) I know Android is coming our way for Touchpad, but I hate GB on a 10 inch screen.. I have used it on Viewsonic Gtab.
And HC ports are always without video acceleration, its irritating to watch youtube videos that are all grainy on a 10 inch screen or watch movies in moboplayer that work without hardware acceleration and just empty out da battery very fast.
or keep trying a new ROM every month.
I am currently inclined on selling da touchpad and waiting for black friday/thanksgiving for a tegra 2 device at 250$ price point.

Its a very long post, thanks for reading.. so what would you suggest, sell it or keep it?
 
Do not look at the TP as anything but a web surfing/email checking/basic gaming device. ALso IMHO, do not sell the device as its VFM at the price point. But, if you eventually decide to sell it, just tell me your location, will see if it can be picked up from your location.
 
Touchpad is most vfm device if you really need a tablet. I can find most of the useful apps and games for touchpad. The touchpad browser, I admit has some issues. Many sites like gmail and hotmail don't work correctly on it but for those you have their mail client. For tab interface you can select Advanced browser for touchpad.

Flash and mutlitasking is the best thing that happened with touchpad. Though I got my touch pad at $200, I happy with it.
 
I'm insanely happy with my touchpad.

Comics, casual browsing, Kindle, Skype and the occasional notes- It does it to my satisfaction.

But since the OP is so particular about his choices, selling it off and getting a Galaxy Tab or something would be a good idea, which would satisfy all his needs out of the box.

My advice? Keep it. Your kid (if you are married) would have a great time with it or it would simply be a great Ebook/comic reader for you. Dump it with your checked in baggage (wrap it with all your clothes) and carry your next tablet in your laptop bag and your good to go. :P
 
Just opened the box and the quality of the hardware and screen is miles ahead of a viewsonic gtablet.

Completely in love with it, Thanks a lot for the suggestion guys. :)

I am surely keeping this one for myself..
