Hey guys,

im using this laptop which is HP TX1301au model with 3GB of ram and other specifications same..

I dont know if this can be solved but i have irritating WiFi problem.

The WiFi works sometimes and sometimes it doesnt..

it does get detected and works and suddenly after restart or standby, the WiFi card vanishes from device manager and it stops working.

anybody facing this problem? :ashamed:

Do i need to buy USB WiFi dongle? but that will not be much comfortable..

please help.. thanks in advance

is the inbuilt WiFi card dying? ive also removed the card and reseated.. works for some time and again vanishes from Device manager :(

HI buddy

I m also suffering from the same problem on my tx1301au all of a sudden one day after restart my wi fi card vanishes from device manager then its visible again after 20 days and works flawlessly for few hours and disappears again in the morning i tried swapping the wifi card with my other compaq laptop this card is working fine in other laptop but the other card is also not detected (Other card is atheros chipset)
so the card is perfect but the problem lies in the motherboard i inquired with some one repairing laptops he says maybe a drysoldering (wi fi slot soldered on motherboard comming loose) is responsible for the fault as these AMD laptops generate alot of heat so resoldering the slot might help but he was not sure & i dont want any one to open this baby and experiment and create more complications

if u find any solution to this problem or any info pls share

regards

Yes.. its common problem..

what you can do is, boot in safe mode and see if the WiFi card gets detected.. here i tried some googling and it got detected in safe mode and now works in normal windows mode :O wtf..

i also updated drivers of broadcom so maybe that must have helped..

install new drivers from here.. Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver for Microsoft Vista HP Pavilion dv6000 CTO Notebook PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

i think this working of WiFi currently is temporary for now :O

everyone reports that this problem happens exactly after one year from the day you power on ur laptop!! looks like time bomb system here :P

Well, Little bit off-topic ...

But I am having DV6 1154tx. And Airtel Broadband. Wi-fi Device also. Beetle 450TC1.

I am facing strange kind of problem also. Every time I restart my laptop, IP address automatically gets assigned as 0.0.0.0. And due to that I am unable to connect to internet through Wi-Fi. (But still If i attach LAN cable It would work fine):@
So I go in IPv4 Properties. Remove 0.0.0.0 entry from advanced settings window. And assign necessary IP, subnet mask and Def gateway. Then I starts working.
IF once again I restart/ shut down my laptop. Once again this same problem. Drivers are totally updated. And Hopefully there's no Virus present. (Using KIS)

I also called customer care. One executive came to see the issue. And He said that This problem is not of Airtel. THis is some internal shit of laptop. (Like drivers are not updated, or somethin')
Does anyone have any idea?
