Okay, room is now ready. It's about 12 feet by 15 feet. I've got my amp, the SR605, but I've since re-evaluated my options, since I want to get some more music listening done on my setup. A cousin is ready to take the SR605 from me at cost, hence...
1) Marantz SR4001 (22k grey, 26k with bill). Decoded LPCM, will help for my PS3 + BR, even if only for peace of mind. Nice, musical amp. First choice.
2) Marantz SR4002 - minor upgrade to the '01, with DTSMA and Dolby HD over HDMI. 30k with bill/warranty.
Speakers - now this is where it gets interesting. I was initially going in for the Wharfedale Movie Star 70+ set, runs ~25k. However, the dealer can source these for me:
