Galvanizer
just read somewhere on xda,

trick to improve battery life to a large extent..

1. go to internet..

2. press menu button>more>select settings..

3. go to enable plugins..

4. select on demand.

and you are done..

this thing turns off flash support when not required... so cpu usage becomes very less..

my experience after doing this change :

1. Battery drain during standby has reduced drastically..

2. battery lasts easily for more than a day with moderate usage..

:ohyeah:

THis might even work on Desire, or any htc android phone... just cant assure it as i have just checked it on my Desire HD

@pat...

this trick just enables flash when required. so its not permanently disabled. just saves power by disabling it when its not needed.

Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk

Typical of htc phones.Giant phones with so small batteries!HD2 was such a good phone(even with winmo6.5),it was simply unusable after 6-8 months, and now this desire hd.BTW the stupid sense u.i(it looks great for first couple of months though)is also a hungry battery eater.

I know that. My point is that Flash is still not ready for mobile phones and though Android treats availability of flash as one of its biggest USPs, seriously Flash just sucks on portable devices! I use Android as a primary phone too and I know how it performs. I uninstalled Flash the day I got the phone!

yeah, Flash only works now and then, but it's good to have the option, especially some sites still use Flash for videos, which runs decently. Flash 10.2 has a lot of optimizations aimed at Android and other mobile OS's, let's see how that performs.

m very happy wid my HD's battery life...it lasts more than a day with heavy usage...newaz when i need to save battery i use juice defender...easily gives me couple of days of usage
