I was just reading about the HTC Desire and came to know that there are 3 different models available. The Model numbers for these are A8181, A8182 and A8183.
The differences are based on the supported 3G frequency bands from what I can tell.
So which one of these do you have (the model number can be identified by checking under the "About Phone" settings).
