HTC HD2 is a legendary device. Being able to run Windows Phone 7.x, and Android OS upto 4.x as well the HTC HD2 simply refuses to die. The people who originally bought this Windows Mobile 6.5 running device are probably the luckiest buyers ever. Value for money eh? Bang for buck!
HTC HD2 runs Windows RT

- Windows RT runs on ARM processors. Check.

- HTC HD2 has an ARM processor. Check

I think what happens next is only natural with this device. The HD2 has refused to stop surprising everyone as devs keep updating the phone with latest OSes like Microsoft's Windows Phone 7.8, MeeGo, as well as Google's latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean as well.

Twitter user @CotullaCode has posted screenshots of him successfully running Windows RT on his HTC HD2. The 4.3" packing device falls short of Microsoft's minimum screen resolution (and everything else) requirements, but there you have it, Windows RT on that little rascal. It seems it won't be long before Windows Phone 8 is ported over (let's wait and watch). We wouldn't be surprised if Samsung's Tizen and Jolla's MeeGo end up running on the HTC HD2 as well (which just packs an old 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with an Adreno 200 GPU, 512 MB of RAM and a WVGA resolution display).

Cortulla however didn't reveal how to install Windows 8 RT on the HTC HD2. The method remains a secret, as of now. There are some benchmarks as well of 7-Zip.

It is worth noting that Metro UI apps are not running due to the low screen resolution, while desktop apps such as Microsoft Office for RT is running fine.

Love it truely.. Always wished to own it, but never had a chance. Truely an amazing device. HD2 breaks the rules and breaks it good.
