HTC has officially announced the One Max phablet which we have seen in numerous leaks already.
The HTC One Max features a 5.9 inch Full HD 1080p IPS display and comes with a fingerprint scanner on the back. Design wise, the phone is similar to the original HTC One, with aluminum chassis and removable back cover and microSD card slot is also there for expansion. The fingerprint scanner can unlock the device and can also be programmed to launch different applications based on finger used for unlocking.
The internals are similar to the original One, including Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset with 1.7GHz quad-core Krait processor and 2GB of RAM with 16GB storage. It runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box with Sense 5.5 UI.
It comes with same 4MP Ultrapixel with 2.0 µm pixel size and LED flash, but it doesnt include optical image stabilization. There is 2.1MP front facing camera with 88° wide angle lens. BoomSound tech with dual-front facing speakers are also there, but BeatsAudio is missing.
Connectivity suite includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 , NFC and IR blaster. It is powered by 3300mAh battery.
The HTC One max will begin rolling out across the globe from mid - end October. No word on price yet but it is expected to be around USD 800 , expect the pricing to be around Rs 49000 in India.
