HTC has finally made the One Mini official. It gets most of the features of its bigger brother including same aluminium unibody and ultrapixel camera and comes in a smaller and more affordable package.

"The HTC One mini embodies everything that makes the HTC One a success on a smaller but equally eye-catching scale," said Peter Chou, chief executive officer of HTC, in the press release.

The HTC One Mini has same features as rumored earlier. It gets a smaller 4.3 inch Super LCD 2 display with 720p resolution and 341 ppi with Gorilla Glass 3 for protection .

It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Chipset with 1.4GHz Krait 300 processor , Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM . It has 16GB fixed storage and lacks microSD card slot.

It has same 4 Ultrapixel camera as the bigger One but lacks optical image stabilization, rest of the features are same. It has 1.6MP front facing camera as well.

The front side has dual stereo speakers with BoomSound. It runs Android 4.2.2 with Sense UI 5 and includes Blinkfeed and Zoe with Beats Audio enhancements.

Connectivity options include LTE, Bluetooth 4.0 Wi-FI a/b/g/n with DLNA and GPS + GLONASS, there is no NFC. It is powered by 1800mAh battery which is said to priovide approx 13 hours of 3G talktime and 692 hours of 3G standby.

The HTC One Mini Will arrive in select markets from August, Global markets are expected to get it from September. The Estimated price is €449 which is €200 cheaper than the One, so we can expect the pricing in India to be near about Rs 30,000.

Cashing in on the flagship name, are we also going to get Lumia Mini, iPhone Mini, xperia z mini and what not mini. May be some might even be existing and i am not aware.[DOUBLEPOST=1374218422][/DOUBLEPOST]
Why is the extra 0.3" is being used instead of a rounded off figure of a 4" in the mobile phones..?

May be aspect ratio thing ? I have a media player with screen and it is 4.3" too.

PS: I am not confusing 4:3 aspect ratio with 4.3" screen size :P

At the rumored European non-contract price of 450/455 EUR, it's prolly going to hit us with a price of 36-37k ! Was hoping it was sub 35k.. bummer
