Taiwanese company HTC has finally released the One S smartphone in India. It is a part of the company's One series, it can now be purchased from various retailers in India like Saholic for Rs. 33,000.
The smartphone comes with a dual-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor which is not surprising as the company had previously announced that selected markets will be getting the S3 instead of the 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. The HTC one S also has a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touch display with qHD resolution (540 x 960) and a ppi of 256.
The One S also runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, has 1GB of internal RAM and 16GB of inbuilt flash memory. The Bad part is that there's no MicroSD card slot for further expansion which is very disappointing for an Android phone at this price range.
The phone also comes with a standard internal 1650 mAh battery instead od the 1850 mAh nattery which the One X had, and has Beats audio integration which most HTC phones offer. Other noticeable features include but are not limited to Stereo FM, 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. The One S also has an 8 MegaPixel auto focus camera at the rear with LED flash and it captures videos in 1080p @ 30fps. A front facing VGA camera is included as well.
