I'm using it for a long time and did not find any issues I'm a beta Tester also of Eragon Rom but still I did not find any issues....
Basically xm 188v4 is most stable....

I usually use one of the AOSP/CM 10 roms. I've heard that battery life is a lot better on sense roms.

I can see from the screenshot that your screen is AOSP themed, does that come with Eragon? Is it possible to use a sense rom with the cm 10 launcher? I want to keep using my CM 10 themes.

Eragon is a asop + sense rom
The best of asop battery and stability and the pinch of sense the features.....
It has nova launcher as launcher and is capable of nova+adw+go+apex launcher themes....
U can find more info on the thread page.....
Search of Eragon Rom on xda

Hmm.. the UI still looks like sense. It's just themed black. I guess asking for theme chooser support is a little too much.

I just flashed SkyDragon today. Hopefully that'll give me better battery life

Nope, not using a custom kernel. Heard there might be stability issues. Would you recommend i do it?

Yes i am using the same with ViperXL/MIUI ROM as a daily driver and it's pretty stable. Just take a nandroid backup in the recovery and uncheck all the extras. Flash it with vanilla settings/stock voltages and you are good to go.

Ummm what would be the advantage of flashing it with stock settings? Isn't the whole idea behind flashing kernels so that you can improve performance by increasing CPU speed and voltages?

Nope by default it undervolts the cpu and increase the clock speed, this achieves the desired performance with increased battery life. The stand by time is increased vastly through this and increasing cpu voltage in mobile devices can lead to motherboard malfunctioning within no time, i never advice anyone to increase cpu voltages unless the aim is very high overclock. The main idea to flash the custom kernel in htc phones is getting a Sweep2wake functionality which is not possible in any stock sense kernel. That means you don't have to press power button to lock/unlock the device anymore. Just swiping the finger across the capacitive buttons can do the trick. Other benefit includes the silky smooth experience which is done by optimizing the kernel through various small tweaks and that is beyond the scope of any stock kernel.
