HTC One X Starts Getting Jelly Bean Update, One X+ And One S Special Edition Announced

The General manager of HTC North Asia, Jack Tong announced that HTC One X will start getting the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update from today.

The HTC One S will also be getting the Jelly Bean update soon but exact date has not been specified.The new firmware will bring latest HTC Sense UI version to the One X and One S.



HTC also announced in the press event upgraded versions of its smartphones dubbed HTC One X+ and One S Special edition.

The One X+ comes with few upgrades from its predecessor One X , it has faster Nvidia Tegra 3 AP37 chipset which is clocked at 1.7GHz . It has same 1GB RAM and 32GB or 64GB internal storage . The display is 4.7 inches S-LCD2 with 720p resolution which has Gorilla Glass 2 on top and laminated for reduced light reflection .

The camera is 8MP with F2.0 28mm lens with autofocus and LED flash and HTC ImageChip . Front camera is 1.6MP capable of 720p video . Connectivity features include Bluetooth 4.0 , NFC , Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, DLNA , micro-USB 2.0 with MHL . The battery has been improved and is 2100mAh which according to HTC will last 50% longer.

The HTC One S Special Edition comes in eye-catching white color and packs 64GB of storage which is a good improvement since it had non-expandable storage. Apart from these, other specifications are same as original One S.



The One X+ and One S SE will be available will be available in Asian markets starting October 30.
