Calling all mobi fanboys.......topic is as simple as u can read....

The HTC Touch - 17k or the O2 Atom Exec - 20k.......

Have heard bad things about the battery of the 02 Atom Exec and have heard that the camera of the HTC Touch hangs if there is any other application running in the background......
Also main concern whichever mobi it may be the main concern is the handsfree on the phoney.....i.e it shouldnt have a problem like the N72 that the handsfree is virtually dead on calls....I should be able to hear the other person nicely loud and clear when on the BIKE as well......awaiting awaiting .........

TYAIA.

1)htc touch is latest one with wm6 os where as o2 atom exec is on wm5.
2)touch is lighter and small in dimension compared to o2 atom exec.
3)If you are considering camera issue .. all windows fones are on the same boat.:P
finally performance is far better in o2 atom exec since it has fast processor..

donno much abt battery issues...
u can compare these two on GSMARENA and decide..:hap2:

Touch is the way to go !

No such cam issues.. if u keep the phone memory happy !!

(Read.. don't run too many apps at once !!)

Handsfree ..loud n clear.. i use it while riding.. just fine !!

Bought a HTC Touch today for 17K for my sis :)...

yes she wanted a business phone and was considering the Nokia E Series Read 61/62 but convinced her for the touch....

Make sure you confit it properly for her with a custom rom and all. Once its tweaked and with phonepad its awesome

MP3 playback through stock headphones ain't that great !! :hap5:
I'd suggest a third party player like PocketMusic.. tweak the equalisers.. it gets better..
U can't connect normal 3.5mm headphones..as they plug in through a mini-usb jack...

You can buy a mini-usb to 3.5mm convertor and use ur normal ep-630's !!
But the converters are hard to find in india.. I m still looking for one !

woah u mean the handsfree is via the usb connector itself ? :S
but is it decent enough for listening purposes and stuff ...ofcouse cant compare it to standalone , but wat abt the normal usuage ? and wat abt the loudspeaker ?

touch is one great phone, but I just hate it coz of less ram and mhz (200 only) . Its the same like of my old K-JAM ..

hmmm , thats the only place where the O2 has its edge , but then O2 has other major issues as well i guess.......

Whoo! O2 XDA Atom or HTC Touch, thats the same question I had in mind...
I will keep a close watch on this thread as I am interested in the outcome, I am sure the Touch has an upper hand over the Exec.

Please can some one answer this, in youtube YouTube - Vantan's HTC Touch (for those without iPhones) if you see the whole video you will see Out of memory message even when all apps are closed!!!

Is that a BUG?

but then Mhz and RAM only matters, if you really gonna run high appz

or if buyin just for dialing smsing browsing low end sites..then go ahead ! K-Jam works fine, so it will too !

IMHO TCPMP provides better audio output than PocketMusic too..And on top of it..its a freeware..Definitely a must-have on all Windows Mobile-based phones :)

^ TCPMP is gr8 for vids.. ur xvids and divx's ..play out of the box !! :)

I find PocketMusic better for music .. personal choice i guess !!

@hanzy the loudspeaker is pretty loud n crisp !

And yes the headphones sound ok for mp3 playback !

The specs may say 201 Mhz processor and all, but after flashing a good custom ROM and if you feel like it, overclocking a bit, its damn zippy and fast, atleast for whatever I use it for (sms, calls, a bit of music and msn)..

Who knows.. maybe hes just screwed up his phone, installed too many apps, bla bla.. the thing about WM phones is you should know how to config and use it properly..

Most people can't even distinguish between a 256k screen and a 64k screen when its kept before them unless they're told. The screen is fine.
