Hi guys,
A frined of mine wants to buy an adroid touch screen.
He mainly wants to use it for browsing, less texts or e mails, decent camera.
He doesnt use that mnay apps too. Uses few of them.. Basic ones..
His range is around 13K

I have been thinking of these 3 phones.
Cant quiet get which one to buy.
Wildfire looks good.
Problem withDefy is think too old, Defy + on the way. Optimus has this dumb camera.

More bent upon wildfire. But are there any reasons i should not consider that. Go for the any of the other two rather

How does it matter if the Defy is old? From what I've heard, it's scheduled to get an official GB update. The Defy is better than the Wildfire S in almost every aspect, despite being similarly priced. Not hating, but I feel that HTC phones are grossly overpriced in the entry level segment.

Avoid HTC Wildfire S. After buying it you just have around 120 MB for installing just a few basic softwares and then it's all over. By basic I mean [3G usage monitor; Opera Mini browser; A Note pad; Dictionary....that's it]. Accessing the phone caller list is cumbersome and involves at least 5-7 steps.

I am the user of the same phone and regretting it - the touch screen went 80% dead in just over 2 months. Still I dragged on for 2 weeks till it went totally dead. Today it's been 7 days since I have handed over the phone for repair at their Service Center at Borivli/Mumbai. It's a pain to keep calling up their customer care no [mostly gets disconnected after 3-4 mins].
Whichever brand of phone you buy - check first of an easily accessible service center in your area.

On the face of it wildfire looked good. @ terence. what is the space available for installing s/ws in Defy?

& also it's scheduled to get an official GB update, what would be the pricing? Will they go for it despite the launch of Defy +? or that would be the defy +?

Not sure about the space on Moto Defy....... However, I do feel that whatever model you wish to buy withing your budget - check if at least 512MB is available. On htc wildfire s - just about 120MB is simply not sufficient and it's overpriced

WHAT'S THE USE OF OVER 200,000 APP'S BEING AVAILABLE FOR ANDROID'S IF ONE CANNOT INSTALL EVEN 6-10 APPS ?????? .............And please do not get me wrong [I am not even into gaming of any sorts], or that I would want to install 100's of apps..... BUT DO YOU GET THE POINT!!!

among this , defy beat. but do take note that all three have dismal cameras. atleast defy will give you passable hd video if ya are lucky to get a bayer module.

Defy has 1.2 GB of space available for the user to install apps/games....more than enough i guess !
