HTML problem

I am getting contract notes of my share trading in HTML format. But whenever i try to open it, it opens the source details and the contract notes cannot be viewed in HTML (IE) format.

But when i copy these files to other computer, it opens in IE 8.

Kindly tell what could be the possible problem with my IE8 browser that it is not able to open HTML files.

My internet is working file in IE8.

Yes it happens also when i drag and drop the file in IE8.

I also tried it, but of no use as it is opening as souce in IE only.

- Can you check the headers of HTML file, may the headers are not proper.

- Are you sure that what you receive is a valid HTML file

You requires to make changes from Folder Option (from control panel) & select file type associated with....

^ default program can be set without going to folder properties too. In win7, right click on file > open with > Choose default program.

In XP the "open with" option would be hidden and might be seen if shift key is held down while right clicking on the file i think.

I tried everything but everytime i open these HTML files i can only see the source details and no html documents.

Sometimes when i am viewing a webpage, & if i want to print it, it prints the source only and no web page. It is also happening in Firefox.

btw, which share trading site is this? anyone having ac in same can verify whether the file is html or xml or whatever the format is. could be xml since some xml files open in source view in browser.
