Huawei has launched an update to their extremely popular (at least ROW) Ascend G300. Introducing an updated and better (and still budget priced) Huawei Ascend G330 smartphone. This device comes with a dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Play chipset, and Android 4.0 ICS on board. Read on to know more.

Huawei Ascend G330

Following a similar design to the G300, the Huawei Ascend G330 is a candy bar shaped design smartphone with three capacitive buttons below the 4" display. Most other specifications remain the same as the G300. Let's have a look.
Huawei Ascend G330 Specifications

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Play chipset
  • 1 GHz dual core ARM Cortex A5 CPU
  • Adreno 203 GPU
  • 512 MB of RAM
  • 4" WVGA (800*480) display
  • 4 GB of internal storage
  • upto 32 GB expandable storage via micro SD card
  • 5 MP rear camera, auto focus and LED flash
  • VGA front facing camera
  • 1,500 mAh battery
  • Android 4.0 ICS

The device packs standard specifications. Much of it is similar to the much more premium HTC Desire X. The Adreno 203 GPU is similar in performance to the PowerVR SGX531 GPU. A WVGA display is just okay for a 4" screen. 4 GB of internal storage is plenty. We wish the RAM was higher at 1 GB though.

1,500 mAh battery should be enough for just a day's usage. There is no word whether the device will be updated to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, but we wouldn't keep our hopes high.
