Huawei has launched the largest phablet in the market, the Huawei Ascend Mate. Packing a humongous 6.1" display with a more than amazing 1080p (1920*1080) display resolution and Huawei's in house K3V3 quad core chipset, we are seeing a flagship phablet device being launched here. Read on to know more about the device and pricing.
Huawei Ascend Mate
So you just bought yourself a spanking new and large spread 5.5" Samsung Galaxy Note II. Suddenly that device is as big as other things in your pocket. And then the Ascend Mate happens (maybe bigger than other things now, *coughs). This device is for those who love using a 7" tablet and are enjoying their 5.5" ish Note device. A 6.1" display size is the love child of a phablet and a tablet. And this is the first among (probably) many more.
Huawei Ascend Mate specifications
Huawei's in house K3V3 chipset has yet to be tested, but if the K3V2 chipset is any indication (matches the Tegra 3 quad core), then the K3V3 is one mean chip. The 6.1" Full HD panel is packed with LTPS or Low Temperature Polysilicon display technology. The display offers a very high 361 ppi pixels density.
What makes this device particularly exciting is it's reasonable price of just $480. For what you're getting, that's a pretty good price. Hope it's available worldwide soon.
