Graphic Cards huge price drop on 8800GTS @ 18000/- in the US of A

it does not matter to us anyway. GPU prices are never adjusted here. 7800GTX remained at same price throughout its life with minor 1-2k drop even after 7900GT came out.

We live is this world unfortunately :P
 
but things are changing slightly right ??

I mean, see the C2Ds...pretty close in price to the American prices.... same for C2D mobos....
 
Nah funky only the absolute hi-end are not falling in prices. That maybe directly related to the no. of SKU's sold. The mid end and high mid-end market will see drops pretty quickly.

The proccy's were always in line or cheaper then American prices, gfx card will always be higher then american prices because of stupid custom classification of gfx card as an entertainment device and not a PC periperhal. Not to mention the re-seller who wants to enjoy a hefty margin on the cards too.

Also the local warranties are just namesake, so it doesnt make a diff if u buy frm abroad.

egghatly the gts shouldnt be more than 22-23k
 
it wont make a diff to indian prices...
and this is gfx card.. not proccy... if u see that way.. the flash drives are cheaper than in US...
 
400USD is not 18k's so easily here at india .. add the import tax and the sales tax .. still goes to 30k's .. last time i checked it was over 32k's .. maybe now its at 30k's ..
 
What a misleading thread...... I was thinking price of 8800GTS had dropped to 18k in India while opening the thread. This way we can create threads.... Price Drop Core 2 Duo E6400 for 9k.... @200USD and Ebay USA....

Please change the name of this thread and unneccesarily dont give threads sensational names. I am sure half the users wouldnt have bothered reading this thread had you qouted Price Drop USA 8800 GTS @ 400 Dollars.
