"chor" Thats the only word that comes to mind.
English chor
High end type

i know resellers selling gpu's currently and getting boxes and boxes of gpu(fe versions) and cpu shipments each day directly from *cough cough all sealed cards. while normal buyers are hung out to dry.
It's not the issue with resellers but retailers themselves cashing in on the craze or the present created "demand"
Which is not a supply crunch at all because the retailers are selling or able to acquire freely right So that channel is good but the problem is coming with the present pricing scenario which is and has become a giant heist type scenario.

Like GTX1050 Ti which is normally priced at 12 5k is selling at 20k to 24k
This type of scenario because GTX1050 ti does not contribute to mining craze in any way possible but is the result of the created scenario.

So the Nvidia and amd should take steps to regulate this supply channel otherwise Intel might disrupt by providing an alternative. This is what I think so.

That's why they recruited raja koduri to create them an another AMD Ryzen type Intel GPU which might give them an edge over others.

Need to see what comes out of this koduri & Intel nexus.

And in the end end users should become happy otherwise Intel will another Nvidia.
Since AMD alone is not able to regulate the market because of its less demand over its GPUs.

issue is nvidia cannot do anything about indian retailer, low level people like distributors in cahoots will always be on the retailer side.Unless nvidia, amd directly start selling things off their websites this issue will never be solved in india.idk what intel does but i have never seen inter product be price gouged. they seem to have a tight control on operations, nvidia currently is on a free cashgrab and i dont expect anything ethical to come out of them ever.

I did read somewhere that nvidia/amd both are least bothered in who hands their gpus go. Its all biz and thats all they care about. You resale or scalp or burn it or trash as far as the units are getting sold they are into biz and thats all what matters!
Someone here was going to write to bjp/modi rofl! Dont know if he has even reached delhi or not.

It's biz interests is what matters to these companies I think right in the end. And what about end users who is called as God's in India or elsewhere. It's just for name sake or as show word or what.

Sorry if i upset anyone but why would manufacturers care who buys their card and for what. Essentially these are parallel processors, you can use it in your video editing studio, gaming pc or a mining farm. For companies, it makes perfect sense to ship as many units as possible. What someone does with it doesn't affect their bottomline

gamers will never understand that, lot of people are too loyal to nvidia/amd etc they think these companies care about gamers.

issue is that the cards where categorized as a gaming card. its responsibility of the manufacturer where such scalping happens, they need to step in. else directly sell it as a crypto card. to be honest we should / can file a law suit where they need to address our concerns as a consumer for their product and the niche market. its a hassle so no one does it, that's all. its like controlling market for more profit and is illegal in most country.

I dont think anything is a gaming card. Marketing terminologies mean nothing to me. It's a parallel processor that does floating point operations and what not. That's my opinion and if I was Nvidia, a business I wouldn't care what someone did with my product as long as my inventory's selling out.

This is what I am telling
The graphics cards makers themselves must be having civic sense by not producing cards as mining cards and non mining cards then only this hype created demand will come down otherwise until the price of the bit coin comes down until then this controlled prices will never come down or can be bought for their msrp prices.
I think until 2023 it won't happen.

there are supply chain issues aswell not just crypto mining.

They might be sold or marketed as Graphics card, but no manufacturer can legally limit their usage. They are all computing devices in the end. If tomorrow, I were to write a new program which uses their computing power for purposes other than generating graphics, how is it the manufacturer's problem/mistake. Also, as a buyer, even I have freedom to use it as I want. And no manufacturer in their right mind will limit their devices which would reduce their sales, even though Nvidia did do that exactly. And do tell me whether is it logical for any business to discard customers who will buy multiple items over customers who will only buy one every few years. Their shareholders will remove any CEO that makes such an emotional decision.
