Either get a Nook Color or get an iPad for cheap. My vote is for the iPad hands down. :)

Get a Galaxy Tab

Pros:

android, wi-fi, 3g, external memory, 7inch screen (portability)

Con:

7 inch screen (for watching videos)

Or

Viewsonic G Tab from ebay usa. You can get it for 350$+Aramex charge+customs duty. Awesome hardware (Tegra 2) except the screen.

Dont buy this. I bought and returned it. Its totally useless. crap. Its for first time users . Its too slow. video playback is jittery. Battery life of 2 hrs.. if u are luclky..
 
isn't there. something called olivepad with some gr8 feature

but. as i think galaxy tab (new 10.1)is definatly better choice than ipad
 
My suggestion would be Archos 101, has a 10'' screen with capacitive touch that is just perfect for PDFs (especially technical ebooks). Got it from eBay USA + Aramex, total damages approx 18.5k
