Other Hybrid or native mobile application development?

To everyone who has been involved in the mobile application development in any capacity. How do you decide which application development methodology to go for?

Is the decision based on the cost factors or performance for you. Which kind of apps are best suited for either.

Is there any resusable component between the platforms if you go with a native app.

Bigger and more complex app should be made native. For smaller and medium difficulty app Hybrid are the way to go. Also, in terms of code, there are rarely any res-usable components.

When you say complex I am assuming you are talking about apps which utilize on device processing to a higher level so that processor and in turn battery usage is minimized.
