So what you are referring to is most likely not being able to reply in marketplace section.

There are 2 ways to reply there.

1st is to fork up 150 to gain enclave plus for a month, and gain access to all of the market place

2nd is to be a member for atleast 30 days ( in your case it's checked since you have been here for atleast 5791 days ) and reply 25 times in the "technical" section.
Technical section doesn't include any lifestyle fourms, something like desktop, laptop, mobile sections should count .

If you're referring to something not related to marketplace, I don't know about it.

Was on erodov too ! But that website is long gone and was on thinkdigit forum too. But all of them are long dead.

You need to post 25 messages in the fourms in the "technical" section.

Getting started; tech news and reviews; careers industry insights, education; The social lounge DON'T count in the "technical" section.

if i comment/reply like this in a thread, does this count for the "25 messages"? the info which says "post" is kinda confusing as looking my account there is no "post" but theres a tally for "messages" then below there's a tab which says "postings" which i assume is our message/comment made?

Yes "posts" are basically replies made in a thread.
However only messages made in specific fourms(as I mentioned previously) count as posts made in technical section.

Same here. After erodov shutdown, I registered here and mostly used it for purchasing items from market place. I read posts but didn't post much and now I wanted to make a deal in market place, noticed that I'm being restricted due to less posts. So much for being oldest member of this community . :(

Techenclave doesn't discriminate, young or old, if you don't have 25 posts in sections outside of the market you simply cannot partake in the market. It's really not that hard, I think the first 3/5 messages have to be checked by a mod but the rest after that are added without any moderation checks. We've had accounts older than yours even come back from the dead only to scam users, most of the time it's just the account details being compromised from some other leak but it has happened before and from then on 2FA was enabled by default. Who's to say I'm even talking to the original user who made the account back in 2012? The posting limit atleast deters a few likely scammers.

Or you can just pay a fixed amount and get access to the market immediately as well lol.

Would it not make sense to restrict want to sell only ? Why to restrict want to buy ?

Buyers aren't innocent from scamming either.
Honestly once a problem arises, it just turns into a who said what, what happened when and the problem only gets resolved either out of the buyer and seller coming to a deal or the scammer gets away this time with his details being added to the banned list.

Plus it's been said multiple times, the marketplace is not the main priority of the forum. Never was and never will be. Erodov turned into a graveyard with nothing else but classifieds.
