I am in need of help... Windows XP reboots automatically.

Since you do not have any friend who might lend you a SMPS and you're not a techie urself (going by what you say) troubleshooting is going to be a bit hard.

My suggestion try to source a good SMPS from somewhere, swap it with urs and then run your machine and check if it works properly. The problem is that ur machine starts acting weird after 5 hrs which no repair guy would test it for that much time.

Check feasible options and decide. And if you decide to buy a SMPS buy a better one. The one you have is meh... The caps blew off my old zebby SMPS.

This sometimes happens for the file corruption, insert the os disk, go to repair and in cmd Pmt type the foll command copy cd drive:\i386\ntdetect.com c:\
cd drive refers to drive path for example if u have assigned f drive fr cd the command will be copy cd f:\i386\ntdetect.com c:\
and C refers to the drive where Os is Installed this should Fix ur Issue..

Sorry guys, I couldn't reach you for the last one week.

I think it is the SMPS. Getting heated, and causing issues. Fan been replaced..?

Yet to change PSU fan. But the system is working fine. Just needs a little push to make the fan to spin.

Thank you so much man. But, I try to fix it myself. I don't want you to come long way from ..... to my place just to fix this little issue. I don't know both of us living in the same city. But from your response I guess, both of us living in the same city. Its really really good you saying it. :thanx:

The problem I am facing is due to fan. I am sure now. I am waiting to get a new fan or new SMPS, because I would like to confirm one thing before buying it. The thing is, I wanna know about the waves I am seeing in my monitor is because of SMPS or low voltage in my place or some other reasons. When I get confirmed with this I will go for a new one.

If its SMPS, I can fix it myself. Since it needs just to unscrew and unplug few connections. When it comes to FAN, that' the matter. Maybe I call someone to do it. May be PINGA

Sure, I will try to get a SMPS from someone/somewhere to check it. Before going for a new one.

I have come to the conclusion that its because of FAN not spinning when system starts. I resume my work starts with making the fan to spin and I continue with my work. What a funny thing uh...:hap5:

As i mentioned it correctly most of people ignore troubleshooting the fan and engaged in other hardware and software issues.
Its like "when u dont keep your mind cool everything go in vain .":ohyeah:

Finally I got SMPS to check the system (waves in the monitor). Its the SMPS. I am gonna buy a new one and replace it. Thank you all...
