I had created a couple of SE mousepad giveaway threads earlier this week and was about to re-open one of those for another giveaway but it seems that all of them have been deleted? Can any mod or admin tell me what's going on? Are giveaways now banned on TE or did some mod delete my thread by mistake?

Well, look at this way- if I were to sell each mousepad for 5 or 10 bucks, I'd earn a decent sum of money and get perfectly valid iTrader ratings at the same time. But I'm not out to earn any money and thus posted these as giveaways. I couldn't care less about the iTrader ratings as well.
Guess I should start posting FS threads in the market section to sell the mousepad for a rupee each. Perhaps those threads won't get shafted.

+ multiple quantity of same product lies under Bulk Deals or IC
n i highly doubt if anybody would buy a mousepad of that quality wen thot of shipping charges.
locally available mousepad from 'surface' cost 20bucks n are gud enough for an average pc user.

But let's face it. How much does a nice cotton t-shirt cost? 300-400 bucks? I'm giving those away for free (or 50-100 bucks if shipping is taken into account).
A gym bag would probably cost you two to three hundred bucks. Mine? Free.
Leather wrist straps? 100 bucks? Mine - free.
Anyways, at the risk of belaboring my point, I'll stop right here. To reiterate, I'm not out to make a quick buck but of course that does not mean that I'll open my own wallet to ship to other places to India. Nobody in any of the giveaway threads does that.

^ Actually if folks were as persistent at *looking* through threads as they were at finding fault, they will indeed notice there were/are other threads that had been merged together with gforce's threads (off the top of my head, I remember merging dragon_unleash's thread as well).

hyeah: ), hence a lot of other threads missed our eye and are yet to be merged. Apologies for this and thanks for pointing them out, they shall be merged ASAP. If you find any other giveaway threads please assist the mods in pointing it out so it can be merged.
Larger giveaways can possibly warrant a separate thread, but they will need to be put up in Gen Talk alone.
As to why this is being done : A member pointed out that Giveaways - while having noble intentions - can also be used to artificially inflate iTrader ratings. We realise its a loophole, hence we feel the best thing would be to segregate it to General Talk. If anyone has better suggestions, you are free to explain your view.

Speaks pretty mch like a person who is not looking into the clouds. More like a normal mortal-ish TE member.
And secondly @ gforce.. Chill maar yaar.
Here at TE and in life even u ll find too many things not going ur way and i dont think u ll keep reading the rule book or flip thru the Who infringed where logbook..?
What matters is what u were doing was good enuf.. and u keep that good gesture goin jst like that.
Make sure u DISTRIBUTE ur stuff.. not allowing a particular person to hog all the items.
.. keep up the good work and dont bother abt itsy bitsy actions.
