Forum Feedback I don't like the skin on TE!

Well if you are one of those who do not like the skin available on TE then lets solve your concern the community way. :flex:

Here is what you need to do

1. Search the web for the most awesome VB 4.x skin(s)
2. Start a poll and decide the winner(s)
3. Create a TE skin fund and ask members to contribute so that we can buy that skin
4. Give us the ownership of the skin so that we can install it

PS: Do remember that we can only use a paid skin as they come with support. Also we cannot modify any skin beyond changing the logo so it has to be off the shelf.

Honestly i never cared but for no reasons i am missing the old dark theme.
I found these three. Although liked the blue one better as TE is in Blue.

I have no problem in contributing if a few members decide to go for any of these or any other also.

I would like something just simple and does not have big icons. I hate big icons. And bling high contrast colors. Thats a strict no no for me. Animated Arena looks good.

^ yeah! but i find the Quote[""] icon simple and better than other orange an funky styles.
and i hate brighter skins or white background.The IPB TE dark skin is still one of the best.

I don't see anything wrong with white background at all. In fact, I love white. Look, every neat, clean, professional website is having colors like White Background and Grey, Black foreground colors. Same applies for the Current skin.. Well, it was not that great for first couple of days after moving to vBulletin. Now, I don't think, this theme is too ugly to hate.

Take some examples, Apple, Google, Microsoft, FB, and millions like these..

I haven't read that thread recently but i remember you saying that TE can afford to pay for a new skin but catering to the preferences of every member is not feasible. Fair enough, but wouldn't it be feasible in case one dark/night skin is chosen (with all the support you wished to see in it) through a member poll and TE pays for it?

I will work on a dark skin as soon as I find time for it. However the members are free to choose a dark skin and pay for it.

That said, we are open to buying the skin ourselves considering there is popular support for it and not just a handful of members liking it.

It's good to have a darker bg on a forum because imo it just makes is easy on the eye to read text when the white bg is not blinding you. Not saying it should be the only theme but since we already have a light theme, it just makes sense to get a darker one.
