:@ :@ :@

There was this wire attached to the rear side of the cabinet (super lan boy) coming out from 2 ends just behind the mobo, while installing I dint pay much attention to it, thought it was for earthing or something nor was anything mentioned in the manual about it....switched on the comp & all light start up, cd blink but nothing else no bios page, the lcd says no power from cpu...:@

1st I thought I did some damage on the gfx card but after removing the mobo to check there was a white powder on the mobo & on the cabinet a black burnt patch signifying the doom :@ :@ :@ gues the wire shorted something...

My brand new mobo is smoked what to do now ??? & why the #@$%@# wud antec leave a wire on the back panel like that ?????

Why o why did I take the red pill - ignorance was bliss...

Looks like you did some damage for ur self.

Check out if u could get the motherboard replaced tell them that you
dont have a clue what happened and when u booted your PC such a thing
happened.

But dont tell anything about the wire that caused the whole problem.
Tell them that there was some problem with the mobo only.

Hope they replace ur motherboard.

ok will try that innocently.

Any clues as to why that d@mn wire is supposed to be there or do I virtually sue antec ?

A pic of the cabinet showing the offending wire will help in better determining what it is thats caused this problem .

Where was the other end of the wire connected to ?

I'll try for a picture when I get home, its like on the back panel where we screw the mobo, 1 end from a hole on one side behind the mobo & then from behind the panel the other end coming out of another hole to another end of mobo, making it a classic case for ready to short...

OMG !

I installed the system last night and I also saw the two wires.

But i didnt ignore them. I saw metal and therefore was worried that they might mess up the motherboard. So i cut them real close. Actually its not a wire. It is a fastener thread which was used to hold down the bunch of wires coming out from the Front Panel I/O.

Thank god.

3days is nothing, you should be glad. It sometimes takes 1 month. Mostly in case of Intel.

I know I am really glad even if it takes a month I fired them to add a touch so he wont doubt, anyway the dealer has told me he will get it done by tomorrow...
