I just bought Samsung Star 3G GT-S5603

Hi Guyz;

I just bought Samsung Star 3G GT-S5603.

I just came through reviews between non-3g and 3g editions.

I wonder my selection for Samsung Star 3G GT-S5603 was good over non-3g star

i found that non-3g(GT-S5233A) has a 3" display and 3g(GT-S5603) has 2.8..

I'm bit confused comparing both. i have seen reviews everywhere, they done reviews about a Non-Retail test version of GT-S5603.

So i dont know how the retail version of Samsung Star 3G was my good selection over Samsung Star . i opted 3G becoz of future network expandability.

so give me your experiences, suggestions and views here..

any way i bought it already, but i'm asking ur opinions. that all..

Why dont you make a comprehensive review of your findings and put it up here? Would help the others a lot.

i recently bought the samsung star 5233 (non-3G) phone, and I am very happy!

Let me tell you one thing. There is no difference between the two Star models. Except for the "3G" of course. :)

No difference in operation, function, camera, platform, etc.

How do I know this? Because I played with my Star, and my uncle's Star 3G. :)

There is difference actually

1.) 5233 has a 16:9 screen,(3") so videos can been viewed in good. 3G has a 2.8" screen, not of 16:9.

2.) Non-3G has 16:9 LCD supports hyper QWERTY keypad for upgraded ease of input

3.) Battery life difference.

4.) It has been said that touch screen on 5233 is better than 3G, on reviews. I'm not sure since they tested it with TEST piece, not retail version.

5.) 3G Have LED FLASH on 3.2 megapixel camera

6.) 3G is not coming with Stylus. but it's full touch..

7.) 3G has a Front camera lens for video calls

3G model not actually similar to Samsung star, it's official name was Samsung Preston.. They put up the name to Samsung Star 3G, for make people think that , it's Samsung Star with a 3G...

These are information i found from Reviews and user reviews from googling. So things might changed in latest pieces.

i will post more when i find out..

I tried PC Studio for updating firmware but it says that the model is not supported.

Any experiences with updating the S/W thru the offical service centre ?
