I think you should report the IP to police. One cant make death threats to people.

I guess, thats lot easier for the cops to get more information compared to IP.
Yep he has over 20 IDs and we have the all the logs so it can be given easily whenever needed. Surely a dimwit like him cannot be too careful.
@Renegade please PM me your email id. I did get another PM from him and am writing to the Delhi Police Cybercrime cell. I need the last 5 IPs if you could help me with those. He says he's been at a cybercafe, finding him should be a piece of cake because they take photo-IDs now plus we have bank account details with his real name and that will have an address as well.

He did PM again saying the account belongs to a school friend, that he's 14 years old and is doing it for fun. Nothing the cops can't find out from interrogating a friend in a er, friendly way. Thing is, this is just not funny anymore.

Indian Penal Code - Section 506 : threat to cause death or grievous hurt or damage to property - up to seven years imprisonment &/ or fine. If threat carried out, imprisonment up to life/ death sentence is possible - all based on magnitude and severity.

I do have the last PM from him saying he will leave the forum and not come back. What is the consensus - do we file a case or not?
He is not prosecutable under IPC, but under juvenile justice code if he is indeed 14 years old. That's not a problem, anything that gets him to leave and not come back is fine. I know he is looking at the thread - so all we want is silence for the next 30 days and I will not move further. To be fair, his last few PMs have been more conciliatory than earlier and I think he knew better than to directly abuse me.
I think we need to stop the name calling totally - including all of those who are posting here. If there is no more PM'ing and ID creating going on, we should give him time to silence himself as well. I will give it till tomorrow anyway.

I would like to leave this out of public eye for the moment.
This is what he's written. Threatened all mods, abused TE people with foul words, posted porn on a site where young teens visit, sent death threats, and broken lots of rules.
Still asking what the forum people's consensus is cranky? He could be 32 since he's a man. We can only know his real age and name once he's caught by police and interrogated.
I'm sure since he's a man of his words, he should be ready to face the consequence's of his actions too.

Well, if not prosecutable under IPC for death threats, distribution of porn is definitely illegal in India. (I am sure the police would be especially interested if we mention it was gay porn).
