Hey guys I recently created a thread asking about heating issue in my Dell XPS 15 L502x. Dell changed my CPU HSF, but that only helped to reduce temps by 5 degree Celsius.

I think I have found the problem, laptop is not getting proper intake air for cooling. The intake is in the bottom, the clearance between the table and my laptop is just few mm, so I think it is not getting good amount of fresh cool air.

So I need a cooling pad, never used before in 2 year history of my laptop.
Laptop size 15 inch.

Intake vent: left side bottom, 2-3 inch from the edge.

Exhaust vent: Left side.

I am looking to spend around 1k for it.

From my point of view this pads have low RPM fan than what laptops have so this fan create a kind of barrier between laptop fan and air.
As time passes by they clog dust and they do the exact opposite of what they are supposed to do.
Only way to cool off laptop is to create room for air between laptop fan and air.
I bought Cool ball stand from ebay for 115/- only and it works like charm.
