Here's the templete:
I need to buy a netbook for portable works. I am looking for 8-10hours battery backup . Work will always be done in lowest brightness as i want maximum battery. Works include headphone music playing while work, office works (WORD EXCEL), firefox browsing, doing college assignments such as VB, C, C++, 8085, DBMS,SQL, etc.......
For my programming requirements, windows XP is the OS I'll be using. If the netbook doesn't come with XP, comes with W7,linux,etc I'll have to install XP. Screen of 10" and ram of 1GB should be enough also. Storage no barr, whatever the hdd will be in size, I'll replace that with a 32/64gb ssd (if it has hdd opening slot to change without breaking the warranty seal). The most important thing is battery backup.
Other features I need is,wifi-n,BT
Features I don't need (may reside, but of no use): webcam, integrated mic, hdmi, express slot, etc...

- What size and weight considerations do you have? (e.g. Do you want a 17" desktop replacement or you want an ultraportable 12" or something in between) 10"
- Any brand that you prefer, or any brand that you detest? (e.g some would prefer to stay away from Acer or Dell) None
- Any other considerations? (e.g Battery life; Widescreen/non-widescreen; Glossy/Matte screen etc.) Superior Battery reqd
