as per priorities- we start ULTAA:P-

Altec Lansing MX5021 - 8K
Creative Audigy something- better than the base value ones - 3-4K

essentials-
2x512 DDR 400- 5k (2x512 DDR2 533 if going conroe- 4k odd)
80GB sataII- 2.2k; 250 SATA II- 4k; dunno 160GB- price- maybe 3.2k
DVD RW- 2K
Powersafe L&C 500- 2.5-3K
Nvidia 7600gt- 11K / 7600GS- 6-7k
KB + mouse - 1K
Cabinet- 1-2K

total 40k considering upper values!!
If u buy some stuff off TE Market- say RAM, Gfx card, u save even on the lower limit!!

now in 10k- thats spare- minimum- depending on previous ajustments- the more u adjust above, the more u get for cpu+mbo- you can get-

3000+ - 4K or 2.5-2.8k from TE Market and some full ATX mobo- 5k
(i dare not say A8NE lest i need major abuses:P)- More than enough for your needs- IMHO!!:ashamed: :cool2:

Or some m-ATX mobo- 3-4k- say A8N VM types- with at least 2 useable PCI slots!!:P

If u want dual core processor-

or an X2 3800+ - 8.4k and mobo of choice!!

OR Conroe 'E6300'- 10k:S + Asrock 775 twins- 3.5-4k:S!!- no comments on this one- please ask the pros- this is the cheapest Conroe package one can buy!!

Thats why i told him to read up and whre to find.

and dont preassume things, that I got those from whitepapers, i might not work for a multibillionaire ahem company and get to see the stuffs but i do have a general idea as i'm using machines from 286.

the architecture of microprocessor is a important part in digital systems if you look down a simplest M Mano book u'll find a lot of infomration. i dunno if a Mano book is lil downloaded whitepaper. i'd say its a lil book bought for some cash.

if your free tonight i'll give you telnet access to my hdd or ftp access, check urself for some whitepapers if u find them. if you think its deleted u can use some network data recovery disks too :D.

Sumeet i told you all that becuz i know ppls until they are satisfied they'll have a pin pinching in their head oh this is a bad rig o rso. so until unless you know this is good and u buy that u'll always crave for the good thing u knew and regret for not buying that.
 
@ Bikey, So what if he has the money, Why shouldnt he get the Best Config in the Budget? So what if he uses only 10% of the Processing Power..

Any1 going for a New rig, and going for a 3800+ over a E6300, is um.. DUMB.

Adi- i never said one should not- my question was more conroe specific- coz as per his usage- i thought even a 3000+ is good enough!!
net went down b4 i could post my version/suggestion!!
Why spend more on a DC proccy- won't a 3000+ ably handle programming and gaming and other stuff for regular users??

So i just diverted the money to an MX 5021 and a good soundcard- say Audigy2 ZS!!
Coz the guy said he wants Mostly for MUSIC and maybe a good soundcard!!

Everyone was ensuring conroe but scrimping on the sound part- saying maybe ATP3 and audigy value- when the guy mentioned he enjoys good music!!
And the gfx card i suggested isn't that bad too- not bad as per pro gamers- hi end for noobs like me!!:P

Its just an alternate suggestion based on Sumit's requirements!!:cool2:
 
wat i maent is dat i wont b gaming too much right now i mean i dont want to game lols they r addictive..

so i can upgrade my graphics card later right?

dats y i want to go for conroe n instead of the graphics cards i can go for the sound card right?
 
btw the inbuilt graphics card can manage most of the recent applications so i wont b needing a hi fi graphics cards untill i go into desgining or gamin in depth...

but if everything can come in dat budget of mine den its most welcome hehe :P

you wont be able to play farcry, nfs mws with eye candies without a card.
are you kidding me ? that u want a conroe with onboard gfx.
scrap conroe then get amd 3000+ BUT GET A GFX CARD.

forget designing in pro level u'd need cards tht can have hardware based opel gl accn which are quadros or fire gl's.

i dont understand y r u mixing gaming and designing both are diff and both needs diff config.
IF YOU DONT NEED THE PC FOR GAMING why are u even getting conroe? get a 3000+ mobo.hell even a sempron wud work fine. remember when we said all this gaming which is the most hungry part counts.
if u bought a pc without gfx card for 50k its a waste of 25k.
cuz u dont game u dont need 1 gb ram 512 wud do fine. you dont need any high figh mobo and high figh cpu.so?/
u have to buy a gfx card a 7600gs atleast. :)

let us start from basic you definitely need a hard disk i'd say go for the 320 gb i'll get one of yours with mine in a month.
320 gb hdd 5.2k
1 gb ram 5k
mx5021 7k
cabby 4k
smps antec neo he 6.5k
a sound card 4k
dvd rw a must have 2k
33.7k say 34k total.
now a gfx card 10k
total becomes 44k.
now what you have is 6k just increase ur budget to 60k u'll get a killer config.
its upto you if your gonna use a a8n-e with 3000+ for around 8k combo or if your gonna use conroe + asrock 15k combo. :)
decide urself.

u can cut ur costs on PSU but i recommend buying a antec neo he knowing the power dropouts and trust me when it drops to 170 volts ups cant handle but alone the smps can.

regarding hard disk go with the 7200.10 its a kileler hdd. i'm getting on in puja in a month wud get urs too.also if you want i can get ur proccy and everything from nagpur and take it as in kolkata its costly normally.
