I want budget PC without monitor (within Rs.14000/-)

Hi friends,

I am looking forward to buy a mid-level gaming PC within a budget of Rs.14000/-. I don't want speakers, keyboard, mouse & monitor as i am having 17" CRD monitor which is working fine along with 2.1 channel creative speakers with Msoft keyboard & mouse.

I will be overclocking it, so please suggest me the components accordingly.:)

Q: Where will you buy this hardware? (Online/City/TE Dealer)

Delhi (Nehru Place)

4. Q: What is your intended use for this PC/hardware

1. Browsing

2. 2-3 hours daily operation

4. Watching movies

5. Few games

Q: Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them and the reason for your preference/dislike.

1. May be AMD (because I heard that it is better overclocker & good onboard graphics can be used).

2. Nvidia

Q: If you will be playing games then which type of games will you be playing?

Mostly old games. I will download them when needed.

Q: Which operating system do you intend to use with this configuration?

1. Windows 7 32 Bit

Q. Which MOBO?

I prefer MOBO with Onboard graphics and also such that i can add a graphic card later.

Other Informations: I would prefer a DDR3 RAM as I think it would be faster than DDR2 and above all, the prices are almost same.

Gigabyte MA-74GMT-S2 --> Try to get it locally or get it frm Rahul(TheItwares)(Guess he has stock as one member reported here yest.). It is a DDRIII based one and future RAM upgrades would be cheaper :)

Get a decent PSU as it lets you add a good GPU in the future. Both these PSU allows you to add even a HD5670 to your PC :)

Thanks for your reply, but I am not able to find Gigabyte MA-74GMT-S2 anywhere in Distt. centre J.puri, ND.

Is there any other cheap mobo for DDR-III which is also a good overclocker.

And lastly what points should i keep in mind while buying products for overclocking.

The Gigabyte G61-PME-S2P is available in Delhi. It has an nvidia 6100, but only DDR2. IF you dont have a problem with that, you should go for it.

P.S. I think the MA-74GMT-S2 has a ATI 2100, not a 4200

Pls also give suggestions from Intel. & what if i increase my budget to Rs.18000/- from earlier Rs.14000/-.

What r the benefits of a better processor, will it increase the speed to double or will it be better to buy a graphic card and increased ram instead of a better processor.
