I want to build Custom made table cabinet (gaming)

I have group of ppl working at my place currently for furnitures in my dad;s room..
so i decided to revamp my current table cabinet for pc which sux (which was custom made years back) and i want to build another nice cabinet (specially for gaming) so guys if u have decent cabinet table for pc then kindly post a pic so ill get an idea abt making it.. is it ok if i put a black sunmyca on the table top? will b lookin futuristic & easy to track screws etc :P

This table im gonna make on 26th or on thursday (depending on those group of ppl workin at my place) so hope to recv overwhelmin' response as usual :clap:

im posting pics..im gonna modify my pc table as im gonna remove that top dome thing (looks bad i kno but that was to match with my other furniture :P) so any suggestion welcomed.. mainly need a comfortable usage! so that i regain my interest in computers & gaming..





 
I designed this myself -


Main criteria was too save space. It does have a few problems though, which I discovered later.
 
zopudey, i liked that LCD cover :P well thats nice cabby for pc.. can u tell me how wwide is ur pc table? i think of making it that much wide and broader then you so that i dont have to pull out that drawer for keyboard everytime.. and everything on table top!! and the space below at pc table will b uitilized for keeping my cd/dvd library ;) hows that idea... but Zupodey :bleh: i know what limitations ur having in ur pc table :P the cd thing, u have to bend down everytime (that too on sideways cause of ur cabby placement) so i am keeping my PC case besides my monitor.. any other suggestions welcomed..
 
Well, with my zb-01, keeping it straight would have been a problem :P The CD thing is an annoyance, but not so much. Main problem is airflow. Since the sides are solid, airflow is restricted.
My table is 4 feet by 1.5 feet.

Unlikely. That chair is older than both our ages combined :P

hmm i will b having 3feet by 2 feet.. yes cooling is annoyance , for me it will b a boon for cd & cooling problem cause it will b kept on the table top.

Ok... some issues i see:

1) Never ignore the foot rest. You will never know how fast u develop a chronic back ache for not using a simple thing as a footrest.

2) The idle and most comfortable sitting chairs are the ones which have very less padding and have a tense back support. Studies have shown this. Those loomfy padded chairs sure look yummy, but cause more trouble than anything else.

Well, I have to sit with my feet folded. Have spent many years like this so far, without any problems......touchwood :D

And my chair keeps my back straight...just inclined. Just the way I like it :D
 
zupodey :P ur name is weird so pyaarse i call u whatever i like starting from Zup and ending with ey :P lol.. im sorry if u dont like :P i like that chair very much dude. can i use bean bags?? and footrest.. hmm ill get one for sure..
 
yeah i was looking for lighting. dont know the place from where to get.. i need a deem light though.. like the one ive seen on hardforum.. umm maybe i have a nice corner to put on light. the wall is colored greyish.. so let me know the light type suitable for ma room.
 
here is my current table, planning to built a new table.
Should i have to shift keyboard and mouse on top of the table from drawer ?
Height and length suggestions ?

Right now using 7 years old speakers but getting new Altec Lansing ATP 3 soon.
