Look at previous threads to see what to look for when you buy a car..
After sales, second hand value, spares all play a much more important part..You'l regret if you just consider the looks..
Yup,i feel the same too..she said she feels confident with i10,she still has TD the i10 though...geek ashish said:generally ladies prefer to drive i10...excellent VFM, good space, doesn't feel too big in corners and u-turns. with new look, it's newer than others
Are you from mumbai?i10 magna exceeds budget..Sumit05 said:Dude,go for i10 magna 1.2 kappa2.I have bought it on monday & got floor mat,seAt covers,mud flaps,music system & body cover.ALL THE THINGS FREEEEEEEE.After all its a gr8 city car.
i10 kappa2 is expensive...for 4.5lks we could get the i10 era(on road)...xxjayxx said:Newi10 kappa2 (VTVT) engine Magna 1.2 ltr will cost u appx 4.6 lkhs (on road), Ritz and i10 r equally well its just matter of personally choice. For someone Ritz looks r cool and others its just opposite. i10 has better interiors Maruti really sucks when it comes to interiors. Take 2-3 test drives before finalizing any of the discussed cars. Both companies have good ASS, good resale value and fuel efficiency. So its purely matter of buyers choice/preferences/likes/dislikes.
Arun.P said:^ the 1.2 engine is better than 1.1 ERA cause it has better millage good efficiency and more horse power and nice new feature p.s the 1.1 is OBSOLETE right now but not worth and it is bit cheap like maurthi zen or 800
P.S the Ritz is replacement same engine from swift but copy cat and not worth and the full model vxi come with power windows and few feature but no free music player
so the hyundai i10 give away free stuff music player mud flab cover and much mpre

sri_k said:Isnt i10 era based on Irde not worth the money?Ritz am aware, the specs are same as swift...Would have considered swift if atleast the base model comes within the budget...we arent getting freebies with i10 except for mudflas, floor mats..
Will DOHC help in good fuel efficiency as compared to SOHC?i have seen the spec of i10 era which says its IRDe2,any changes being implemented in IRDe2?xxjayxx said:I guess in Mumbai it should be around 4.7 lks (on road), consult the Car Financing Company regarding 20k addition.

Difference between both is
iRDE is 1.1 ltr which generates 66.7 bhp @5500rpm & VTVT(kappa) is 1.2lts engine which generates 78.9bhp @ 5200 rpm besides that 1.1 ltr engine has SOHC (Single Overhead Camshaft) valvetrain and 1.2 ltr kappa has DOHC (Double Overhead Camshaft) valvetrain

I don't know much about the Ritz as I've sat in it a long time ago and I did not like it then.
The i10 has a nice, soft suspension but can be a little bumpy at times. If you can get around that weird console mounted gear, hyper sensitive steering and hard seat cushion material, its quite an ok city car. IMO, the Santro is a better buy for lesser money.
Bro,we are not getting any discounts on i10..also dealer is offering cash discount of 4k or else free mudflaps, floor mats...some discount on accessories if we buy from him...Also i did insist on PDI before we get the car registered..i dint know what made him anger he told us its not necessary, its being done by car companies before it leaves the factory..i insisted on PDI,since have seen the T-BHP threads on getting the PDI done..should i trust the dealer?:huh:H_D said:If it's for a lady, bro i10 is the best choice and there is something about that car which make girls to like it even and don't know what it is
Besides the fun thing, i have driven all 3 cars but as am a boy i ended up with swift ... it's more about boyinsh feel haha.
i10 is the best choice here as even with the base model you will get manual central locking and front power windows, which is really great and girls obviously need ease. I will suggest you to strongly go with i10 and don't forget to negotiate there is lot of room for negotiation in hyundai cars specially when it comes to free goodies like stereo etc.

To hell with the person if he doesnt honors what is the norm !!
If that's the attitude of his.. showing displeasure to the customer over ANY issue.. what might happen if u need to (God forbid) invoke any part replacement program..?
Or anything goes awry during service or any other such stuff..??
You should have marked the line clearly for him and shd have pressed the pt home to lay off. Unacceptable behaviour.
Share the name of the dealer here and other forums as well to see if the dealer is shady or not. The nerve of it.
Mate there are so many Hyundai dealers in Mumbai. Go somewhere else if he has such indifferent attitude towards customers. These days in India when it comes to cars, it's the car companies who want our attention and not the other way around. Checking the car before registration is your right and is very much necessary to check it thoroughly like how it is mentioned in the PDI checklist in T-bhp, infact many people even take a TD of the car before registration, although most dealers won't allow this, PDI is a must anyway. Also check the manufacturing month and everything, make sure you're getting a recently manufactured model, since the new i10 is just released, this won't be an issue though.sri_k said:Well i thought of it..i did clearly tell him that i need to see the car before getting it registered,i could see that anger on his face..also he asked me several times why you need to see the car,i said its just for my satisfaction..
the name of dealer is shreenath hyundai located at andheri..the other thing that pissed me off was one of is sales guy whom we had interacted with before a week, had said they have corporate discount, now when i said corp disc is offered,

why don't u prefer polo?
geek ashish said:Don't go for free mattresses, air fresheners, mud flaps etc. you can get them outside, that to cheaper and better quality. also you can choose the colour. instead get cash discount.
Under-body coating : i trust my local garage with cans of Wurth, done in front of me, than the dealer.
Music system : go for OEM one only if you get controls on steering wheel. otherwise go to a trusted accessory shop and at least get Pioneer ( better than Sony ).
keyless entry : go for OEM if warranty is an issue. I think Hyundai doesn't matter. but recheck. Don't believe dealer, he'll always want to make his sale.
Some companies don't mind installation of Autocop etc when claiming warranty.
double check for Hyundai.
use google and Team-bhp.com
In short, buy least no. of accessories from the dealer. you get better alternatives outside.
