Can someone tell me how good the university is? And about the campus, job opportunities for the MS programs there. All opinions welcome. Thanks.

IIIT was setup in 1999-2000 and ISquareIT in 2002-03.
Yaa right, as if IISc is beggin for students :rofl:Chaos said:IIIT-B has a few decent professors but not all faculty is very special... better to go to IISc than that. I've never heard of ISquareIT but IIIT allahabad is also very good.
Chaos said:IIIT Hyd was setup in 1998(my batch) and is easily the best of the bunch... Okay I'm biased
. Research quality in IIIT-H is top class and in computer graphics and vision, its the best in the country... IIIT-B has a few decent professors but not all faculty is very special... better to go to IISc than that. I've never heard of ISquareIT but IIIT allahabad is also very good.

lord_nemesis said:Chaos is right, Me too consider that IIIT (IIIT-H and IIIT-A) are best when it comes to computer vision and AI. Only thing is that Since IIIT-H is not government funded now (Its International Institute of Information Technology) , the fee tend to be a bit high which is why I could not join IIIT-H. I did my M.Tech in Intelligent Systems from IIIT-A. The fees here are low at about 18k per semester and we got a stipend of 5k per month. These two institutes although started in 1998 and 1999 are in the top 20 list of colleges and alongside institutes which have 40-50years of history.
Chaos said:Were you looking for an MS by Research or MTech? If its the former, you'll be funded completely and don't need to spend a penny.
