Ok, so someone I know is doing a bulk order for Dell Latitude E5400/E5500 laptops.

Available both with and without completecover as well.

Rough Specs:
P8600 @ 2.4Ghz
2Gb RAM800Mhz (2X1Gb)
160Gb 7200rpm HDD with free fall sensor
Dell Latitude E5400 - Laptop

Dell Latitude E5500 - Laptop

Rest basic stuff. For those who think these specs are too weak, you can upgrade the HDD and RAM if you like, but for the price, these are excellent business notebooks with great build quality and built to take a beating and being bumped around.

If anyone is interested, let me know and I will bother to get the complete specs.

MRP for these units is around 70k or so.

Payment will be through CC/DD in advance.

PS: Only reputed members will be entertained. I reserve the right to make that decision :P Newer members, get some senior member who knows you well personally to vouch for you. I can only pick up a limited number of units for the same. Am still confirming on the number.

PPS: Oh, and this is a very limited period offer :P
UPDATE: Upgrades are possible. Dell will charge normal upgrade prices on those items.
 
latitude series:drool2: Purchased a E6400 couple of days back. suave looks, magnesium alloy body:cool2:. absolutely awesome.

However there are a couple of issues. Very low speaker volume (knd of annoying :@ ) and lack of integrated webcam :( .
 
Yes my manager has one and speakers are horrible and he said he needs to get it checked . No intention of crapping thread .

BTW can we get complete specs please . The screen resolution ?
 
can anyone confirm if it has a serial port?

looks like it in the image..

coz i know someone searchin for a lappy with that.

integrated webcam is 'optional' in the E6400. U'll have to specify while ordering, i guess.

On the other hand, webcam is not available on the E5400/E5500, AFAIK.

Only Latitude E5500 comes with a serial port, IIRC. I dont think any other manufacturer offers serial ports anymore. Other option would be to check if the docking station on some laptops carry legacy serial/parallel ports. Need to research.

yup thats the issue.. its very difficult to find a laptop with serial ports now.

someone had a requirement of the serial port, to use it with OBD scan tools with a serial interface.

Nopes integrated webcam, is not an option. Not that it matters to me. One thing i forgot to add was fingerprint reader. Not sure if it can be installed now :huh:

On the Latitude E6400, webcam IS an option. Renegade has one and it came with webcam, IIRC.

Fingerprint reader has to be ordered and cannot be added as after market fitment i think, coz it comes integrated on the keyboard surface.
 
damm good config, price what said is very less for what you get, totally sick deal.

i'm looking for 13.3 inchers, let me know if you can get me 1 somehow.. :S
 
could you please send me the quote+specs of the 14 incher.. was gonna confirm a studio 14 tomo.. dont mind having a look at this.
