Yes it is , its just when u call in for warranty, u need to register ur product, same is with Samsung monitors, did that recently thats y i kno :bleh:
 
no its not needed.
its just not possible to register LCD`s at DELL india Website.
ur Order Number and Customer Code are the only 2 things required to claim warranty incase its billed on ur name

but LCD`s purchased thru EPP programmes would or may need some authenticaton of the employee or of the person on whose name the bill is, as in case of vivek punjabi.
 
Well, to sort it out , i think i can get all guys who buy the stuff registered instantly , as soon as they recieve the monitors , sothey dont hav to run around in case of ne troubles....:D.will talk to him and get back on that

i have gone thru the procedure of replacement and warranty claims of DELL lcd`s for my own SP2208WFP.
nothin is needed except the Order Number and Customer Number.
Quotation Number will help too.

this applies to all the LCD`s atleast which i have sold till now.

but are u gettin it thru EPP ?
if not , then the prices are really good with 3 yrs warranty.
infact u made me also to think to add 3yr warranty options under my GO.
 
The monitors can never be in the purchaser's name.....if u need any replacement in the first 30 days you have to get paperwork signed from the person in whose name the order was placed.

After 30 days, i dont know how a replacement will be processed.

i personally would prefer to pay a little more and get the product in My own name.

I kno........thats y even i have been recommending everyone who is scared of this part to go with your deal man, as i m fine with this part , just wanted to askif others are ready for this, and i confirmed this thing , all monitors will be registered on delievry on Dells site in the customers name , so there will be no problem in the warranty IMHO. If there is , i am always here to help you with that part, and this is not sumthing i am sellin to others, this is a deal in which even i am a part and i understand the warranty and billing part myself, just i am ok with it.....so anyone who is interested can PM me

Also as of the the E248WFP is not in their systems, will take a few days for that, sorry guys
