IC - Panasonic Dect 6.0 2 handset cordless phone w ans machine.

^^ thats exactly what i was looking for. I didnt know panasonic and other companies have this tech too. I was having motorola C51 in my mind (similar having bluetooth and cell phone pairing) but couldnt get better deals for it.

Nice find there... keep it up. One of the seller on amazon has that model at 61$ too, which is amazing. Downside is.... its having only one handset, two would have been better.

And i dont think 100$ cordless is worth it (at least i cant afford one). Dont know about others. I shall add that link in first post too, also shall pm kmd about the same 2morow. But phone with couple of handsets would be better, so lets do a bit of more rnd.

Thanks

^^ wow u guys are fast :D thanks for the share.

difficult to decide, 5k + for cordless phone .... :/ Anyway lets see what are the options at least.

caller id in phones with DTMF/FSK only would work in india i think..

was in the grey market to buy a DECT phone with a corded base unit + a cordless..

found a alcatel model. Dealer quoted 2.8k .was happy and asked dealer to test it. but he couldnt get the caller id to work.

and i am still looking for a good DECT corded base + cordless units.

India only support DTMF Caller ID system... A DTMF -> FSK converter will be needed for any phone imported from US.... If the Caller ID system in phone supports dual system then no converter is needed & phone automatically shows the caller ID information.... :cool2:

looks like deal one is off..... shall have to wait for another good deal :(

Its sad but maybe a better deal could be found in future... Everybody keep your eyes open.... That was indeed a great deal.... :(

raghav, conversion factor for cordless phones for KMD looks like price in $ x 76, which is quite high (i was expecting $ x 65).
Are u confident about quality/ condition of refurb products... becoz new on is for 80$

roxtin, getting support for VTech is quite difficult (unless one knows any geek :) ). That is not the case with panasonics. So I was prefering them than uniden, Vtech GE etc. And as we are importing stuff (for which service is an issue) i would say one should get world class product rather than ones competing with indian quality stds :D (Dont know exactly about vtech's one, just posting with ur thoughts.
